Help and healing for struggling neighbors
Since 1893, we’ve been here to help... thanks to caring individuals like you.
You make our enduring legacy of help, hope, and healing possible!
Through the years, many things about our ministry have changed. As the needs of our neighbors continue, your generous support has helped us renovate and expand our facilities. We’ve gone beyond our humble beginnings to now serve thousands of men, women, and children each year!
While our world—and even Wheeler Mission—are ever changing, one thing remains the same: Our commitment to model Christ’s love and provide the help, hope, and healing that change lives.

Meet one of the hearts behind the mission 💙
Jacqueline D`Souza has such a servants heart! Her love for Jesus and compassion for those experiencing homelessness has brought her to give so much of her time and treasure to Wheeler Mission and the guests we serve. Over the past 4 years, she has volunteered more than 500 hours and has packed over 3500 sack lunches for our men, women, and children. She is a member of the Mary Wheeler Circle where she serves on the advisory council and the birthday team. She is a friend to Wheeler Mission`s staff, making sure we all feel appreciated. Congratulations to Jacqueline for being the Center for Women and Children`s Volunteer of the Year!

As we transition into spring, it’s a season of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. God’s faithfulness gives us peace and hope for the days ahead, reminding us that each fresh start is an opportunity to trust Him and move forward with joy.
Spring is in the air, and it’s the perfect time for a fresh start. 🌷🕯️

We are thankful for the YMCA Indiana Youth and Government program for their $300 donation to Wheeler Mission a few weeks ago and for the opportunity to speak at their Statehouse Assembly.
It was a privilege to share our mission and meet students who are already making an impact. Your commitment to service is already changing lives across our community.
This week we’re highlighting an incredible group of volunteers from @iuindianapolis who spent time sorting donations at Wheeler Mission! 📦
Each item sorted helps ensure that the right resources get to the people who need them most. From clothing to essential goods, their work behind the scenes directly supports the men, women, and families we serve every day.
We’re so grateful for their willingness to serve, their teamwork, and the impact they made during their time with us. Thank you, IU Indy students, for being part of the mission! 💙
Fred and Lori Weller are the kind of volunteers every community hopes for. 💙
They’ve faithfully served Wheeler Mission for years, showing up consistently, reliably, and always with a positive attitude. Whether the task is big or small, they give it their full effort without hesitation.
Their dedication, generosity, and genuine care for others make a lasting impact on everyone around them. Simply put, they are the best at what they do, and we’re honored to recognize them as Volunteers of the Year for our events. 🙌
Thank you, Fred and Lori, for the heart you bring to Wheeler Mission and the example you set through your service.

He is risen.
This Holy Week, all locations participated in Easter activities, remembering the sacrifice of Jesus. Later in the week, families celebrated Easter with egg decorating and joyful fellowship!
Through Wheeler Mission, we live in the hope of the resurrection and share the love of Christ.
Happy Easter from Wheeler Mission.
#indianapolis #Easter
Even in difficult seasons, something beautiful is happening at our Center for Women & Children. This week, moms and kids were able to enjoy a simple Easter celebration — a moment of peace, joy, and normalcy in the middle of uncertainty. 🌸
This Easter, we hold tightly to the promise of Luke 24:6, “He is not here; He has risen!” ✝️ Thank you for helping us share the true heart of Easter with every woman and child we serve. 💛
