Our 17th annual Drumstick Dash was a phenomenal event!
Year after year, we’re blown away by the thousands of people who show up Thanksgiving morning in Broad Ripple to walk, run, volunteer, cheer, and celebrate…all in support of the men, women, and children experiencing homelessness at Wheeler Mission. From the bottom of our hearts…Thank you.
The highlights!
There were giant beach balls, turkey hats, and a sea of sage shirts…this year’s Drumstick Dash was a site like none other! But it wasn’t just about the quirky holiday fun or burning calories before eating pie. Each person that dashed provided funds and advocacy for our neighbors experiencing homelessness…that’s why we say “Move your feet so others can eat!®” Every dollar raised enables Wheeler to provide shelter, food, and life-changing care and services to men, women, and children in need.
At the Drumstick Dash, doing good is so much fun! Here’s what we made happen together:
- Total registrations: 17,783!
- Total dollars raised: $910,000+ for Wheeler Mission – a Drumstick Dash record!
- Media coverage: 101 different news stories promoted and championed Wheeler Mission!
- #OuttaTownDashAround: 413+ people who couldn’t join us in Broad Ripple still participated around the country and around the world.
