Winter Contingency Monitor for Center for Women & Children
Our Center for Women & Children is looking for several women to serve as a Winter Contingency Monitors. This position will perform limited intakes on Winter Contingency Guests by orienting them to the CWC, securing their belongings and addressing any additional personal needs they may have; provide supervision for guests assigned to her care and be available to assist with problem solving as needed; facilitate meal service by supervising the evening meal and ensuring that breakfast is provided in the morning; ensure that the WC laundry is completed on a daily basis; mediate disputes, and record the incidents leaving this information for the Evening Supervisor and Team Leaders; give counsel and guidance to residents when needed using scripture as guidance in all situations; distribute personal hygiene products, mats linens, etc. as needed; and attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions and will meet regularly with the CWC Evening Supervisor. Distribution Center Sorter
Our Distribution Center is looking for a Sorter. This position will consist of sorting, cleaning, hanging, and tagging clothing and other donations that come in to the distribution center. This position will also be responsible for maintaining their work area and help with cleaning common areas, and may be asked to stock and help rotate items in the Thrift Store as well. Applicants must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, have the ability to function well as part of a team, be diligent regarding details and safety, and complete all other tasks as assigned. This position will entail frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. (occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.). Applicants should be in good physical condition that will enable them to stoop, bend, twist, and perform other motions requiring strength and endurance when performing manual labor indoors or outdoors. Shelter for Men Case Manager
Our Shelter for Men is looking for a dedicated Christian man to fill a full-time case management position designed to help men in crisis situations by offering spiritual and emotional support while aiding the guest in their efforts to obtain independent living. This person must be able to multitask responsibilities while handling a large case load. This position requires that a person have good networking skills and the ability to effectively communicate the Gospel of Christ, our rules and regulations, and be a catalyst for hope to our guests. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work or counseling is preferred or 5 years of relevant experience. Shelter for Men Cook
Our Shelter for Men is looking for a cook. This individual needs to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be capable of taking direction, understand instructions for preparing meals, prepping food and able to cook! Under the guidance of the Food Service manager, this person will supervise the preparation of the lunch and dinner meals for Emergency Service guests totaling up to 400 at any time. The cook needs to have the ability to interact with guests, program men, and volunteers in a way that encourages friendly interaction and loyalty, but at all times is done in a professional and servant hood manner. This person will be responsible to accept food donations and provide the necessary paperwork if required by the donor. This person will ensure that all receipts are turned into his supervisor on time and in order. This person also must be flexible with there schedule as necessary, however, a structured weekly schedule will be provided. Good driving record and license is preferable, but not a necessity for this position. Duties will also include cleaning and upkeep of all food service equipment and facility and as well as have good personal hygiene. This man should be active in his local church and growing spiritually, and a ServSafe Certification is a plus. Shelter for Men Weekend Guest Service Coordinator
Our Shelter for Men is looking for a weekend Guest Service Coordinator. This position’s responsibilities include check-in of all clients, maintaining the security of the building, enforcing rules and standards set in place to ensure a good atmosphere for clients, volunteers, and staff. This position requires that a person is willing to serve others and works well with other staff members. Someone able to teach the Word of God is preferred, as there are many counseling opportunities and occasional teaching opportunities afforded to this person. A high school diploma or GED is required and this person must be able to lift 40 pounds.
