Indianapolis Area Positions

Guest Services Coordinators

Our Center for Women & Children is current looking for two qualified Christian women to serve as Guest Services Coordinators. Two positions are available:  Monday – Wednesday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday -Saturday 7:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Guest Service Coordinators provide front desk support and hospitality for those entering the Center. This is a part-time non-exempt position. Wheeler Mission provides part-time employees with paid vacation leave and after one-year of employment contributes to the employee’s 403(b) retirement plan. Emergency Shelter Case Manager

Our Center for Women & Children is looking for a qualified Christian woman to serve as an Emergency Shelter Case Manager. This position is responsible for providing a continuum of care for women experiencing homelessness. This includes a thorough assessment and identification of each client’s needs, resources, talents, skills and interests including a plan to identify and achieve personal goals for those who are chronically, episodically or infrequently homeless. Higher Ground Program Assistant

Our Center for Women & Children is looking for a qualified Christian woman to serve as the Higher Ground Program Assistant is responsible for providing a continuum of care for Higher Ground guests by providing support services to the guests within the second phase of the Higher Ground (HG) program. The Program Assistant must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and be flexible and able to work with homeless women from various backgrounds and at different skill levels. This position will support the activities of the Higher Ground Supervisor by providing supervision of chores, promoting participation in HG activities and supporting the emotional/spiritual growth of guests, as needed. The Program Assistant will work collaboratively with other staff members and clients to help the clients to achieve their goals and meet with the HG Supervisor to review any resident changes and situations she should be attentive to during her shift. She will maintain appropriate documentation of client sessions for identifying information, agency referral, and follow up and record this information for overview by the HG Supervisor, Assistant Director, Director, and other staff. The Program Assistant will attend all staff meetings and trainings and meet regularly with the HG Supervisor. Winter Contingency Monitor

Our Center for Women and Children is current looking for a qualified Christian woman to serve as a Winter Contingency Monitor. This is a full time temporary position available from November 1 – March 31. The available work hours are Monday – Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. This position is responsible for providing a safe and stable care for guests residing in our Winter Contingency Program. Child Care Workers

Our Center for Women & Children is looking for part-time child care workers. Multiple shifts available. These positions are responsible for caring for the children in our Children’s Ministry and promoting their social, emotional, spiritual, and physical development. Meeting daily needs, providing educational support, and creating a fun and supportive learning environment are integral pieces of these positions. Program Assistant

The Wheeler Mission Agape House for Women & Children is current looking for qualified Christian women to serve as a Program Assistant.
