Wheeler Mission receives Lilly Endowment grant
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Lilly Endowment has awarded Wheeler Mission a $2.7 million grant to expand its supportive housing program, Cornerstone Living.
Cornerstone Living is designed to help people and families achieve long-term independence.
Funding will expand Wheeler Mission’s capacity to provide more people stable housing, employment services, and childcare through the Cornerstone Living program.
Wheeler Mission served 12,921 people and provided 406,897 meals in 2025. They also placed 635 people into stable housing.
The president of Wheeler Mission, Perry Hines, said in a news release, “Lilly Endowment’s investment in Cornerstone Living helps Wheeler Mission build on the comprehensive continuum of care we provide every day to people experiencing homelessness in Indiana.”
