Wheeler Mission is committed to honoring our donors’ privacy. We do not rent, sell, or exchange donor information with others. A donor’s information is recorded to keep the donor informed about Wheeler Mission and provide the donor an opportunity to support our programs.
Wheeler Mission does not collect personal information about visitors to our website, except when visitors specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis. When giving an online donation, your personal information will be used by Wheeler Mission and the payment processor to securely process your donation and properly record it as required for charitable organizations.

I have a new credit card number/bank account info—how can I update this?
There are three ways to update your payment information:
- You can manage your recurring gift amount and account information in your donor portal here.
- Call Donor Services at 317.635.3575 ext. 601 from Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Mail your updated account info to our office at Wheeler Mission Donor Services, 205 E New York St, Indianapolis, IN 46204. We are not able to use credit card/banking info sent via email due to security risks.
I need to update my address.
I want to stop receiving your mail. Can you please change my mailing status?
What percent of donations goes toward operating costs?

I have questions about IRAs and acknowledgement letter expectations.
You should always consult your financial advisor about all types of charitable giving. Wheeler Mission is eligible to receive your required minimum distribution (RMD) or qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA. Our tax ID number is 35-0888771. We will send you a letter that you can use for your taxes after we receive a contribution from your IRA. If you would like more information, please use this form.
I have questions about giving via stock and acknowledgement letter expectations.
You should always consult your financial advisor about all types of charitable giving. Wheeler Mission is eligible as a 501(c)3 organization to accept charitable gifts through transfers of securities. Our tax ID number is 35-0888771. We will send you a letter for tax purposes after we have received your stock transfer. If you would like our account info to make your stock gift, please use this form. How do I give via DAF?

I would like more information on matching gifts.
Wheeler Mission is eligible for matching gift donations from a variety of employers. These gifts must be initiated by the donor. Please contact your Human Resources department to find out what the process is to apply for a matching gift to match your donation to Wheeler Mission. If you need our tax ID number, it is 35-0888771. How do I give in honor or memory of someone else?
We are so thankful that you are thinking of Wheeler Mission for a tribute gift for your friend or family member. If you are planning to have multiple people give in honor or memory of your loved one, you can set up your own fundraising page using this link. You can also have people mail contributions to: Wheeler Mission, PO Box 3085, Indianapolis, IN 46206. If you would like to get notifications of donations, please send an email to DonorServices@WheelerMission.org detailing who should be notified and for which honorarium or memorial.
I have questions about gift-in-kind receipts.
If you have made a gift-in-kind donation to Wheeler Mission, it is your responsibility to track and value the items you have given. Wheeler Mission is not an assessor, and therefore, does not assign a value to material contributions. We do have an online form that can be used to list your contributions and put the items on file with our organization. You can find it here. Where should I mail my check?
For donations to one of our Indianapolis locations, please mail your check to Wheeler Mission, PO Box 3085, Indianapolis, IN, 46206. For donations to our Bloomington location, please mail your check to Wheeler Mission, PO Box 3297, Bloomington, IN 47402.
Is my name ever shared with another organization?
To ensure privacy, Wheeler Mission does not share, sell, or rent our donors’ names, addresses, emails, or phone numbers.
How did you get my name and address?
To obtain new donors, Wheeler Mission rents mailing lists from organizations that rent this type of information. Your name and address was most likely obtained through a list rented out by the Association of National Advertisers. We will not add you to our mailing list or database unless you make a contribution. We depend on donations from private sources to fund the work of bringing help, hope, and healing to those who are hurting and experiencing homelessness.
