Round up for Wheeler Mission

Are you a retailer who would love to find a way for your store to help others? Do you want your customers to know that you are an engaged member of the community? Have you wanted others to know what your company values are?

All of this can be done through a round up campaign!

How it works?

At checkout, customers are given the option to round their purchase up to the next dollar and donate the change to a chosen charity.

For example, a purchase of $15.50 becomes $16.00 adding $0.50 to the donation amount of the store’s selected charity. This small ask of your customers adds up to large amounts to be donated. In 2020, a nonprofit consulting group called Engage For Good, found that this type of point-of-sale activity raised more than $605 million for charitable causes.

Sponsor a meal—in action

Wheeler Mission is launching a new campaign to help restaurants during this difficult time. The program is meant to bring corporations (or private donors) together with local restaurants to help people who are experiencing homelessness.
The benefits of this program:

1. Gives relief to Wheeler Mission staff who have tirelessly been working on the front lines to keep up with the added demand of meals.

2. Gives relief to Wheeler Mission’s food resources.

3. Provides a nice meal to people experiencing homelessness.

4. Provides opportunities for people/businesses to support a local restaurant and their staff, which are in jeopardy right now.

How it works:

1. A corporation or individual will sponsor Wheeler Mission.

2. The sponsor will be invoiced by Wheeler Mission for the agreed upon amount (minimum $1,000).

3. The restaurant invoices Wheeler Mission for the cost of the food prepared (equaling the sponsorship budget).

4. Restaurant will schedule the day to provide a meal via Meal Train.

5. Restaurant will deliver prepared meals in aluminum pans to Wheeler Mission 30 minutes prior to the mealtime they have chosen to cover.

6. Wheeler Mission staff will serve the meals directly to guests.
