Service Projects
We have a variety of service projects that you can engage in at your church to support Wheeler Mission.

Welcome kits
Welcome kits are filled with hygiene items, as well as a note of encouragement, that are passed out to first-time guests when they come to our emergency shelters.
Crisis Care Kits
Crisis Care Kits are filled with a water bottle, granola bar, hand sanitizer, and a card showing them that Wheeler Mission cares. This card will include info on where to go for help as well as an encouraging note. These care kits will encourage those experiencing homelessness to come to Wheeler Mission for help. These will be distributed to those in need by different organizations, churches, and volunteers that want to pass these care kits out to those in need that they come across. If you would like to engage with us in this way and handle the gathering of items, packing of kits, and distribution in your community, please reach out to us and we would be happy to send you the cards with info on Wheeler.
Volunteer
We have a variety of service projects that you can engage in at your church to support Wheeler Mission.
As a volunteer at Wheeler Mission, you’ll take a hands-on approach to helping change lives. Our volunteers get to know our guests in special ways that are only possible with gifts of time and face-to-face interactions. They are an integral part of our day-to-day operations. We’d love you to join them! You can choose to help with meal service, praise and worship, housekeeping, and more.

Pray with us
We believe in the power of prayer—and we ask you to pray with us for our staff, volunteers, guests, and the people in our community who are still homeless and hurting.
1. Please pray for continued wisdom with how we approach and grow our supportive care programs.
2. Pray for us as we begin to enter the busiest quarter of the year, that God would give us wisdom and strength to accomplish what we need to with excellence for His glory.
3. Pray that God would bless our efforts as we prepare for winter contingency and the additional needs that will bring to light.

Thift Store
We encourage you to consider shopping at our Fishers Thrift Store, where all proceeds go back to supporting Wheeler Mission and our life-changing programs. Our thrift store accepts donations as well!
Corners of Our Field Program
This is an incentive program where Wheeler Mission partners with local churches giving them gift cards based on their donation activity at the Thrift Store. Wheeler Mission will ask church leadership to inform their congregations to donate to the Thrift Store and tell the Thrift Store staff where they attend church. Every quarter, Wheeler Mission will total the donation amounts from each church and will then provide the church gift cards as a thank you. The churches can then hand out those cards to those in their community who are in need. This is a great way to partner together to not only aid Wheeler Mission, but for the churches to impact their own communities.
