Lost and Found!
Eddie’s journey is one of brokenness, redemption, and a newfound purpose. He grew up in a loving home with a hardworking single mother, but despite her best efforts, he found himself drawn into a life of addiction. For years, he lived for himself, using people, burning bridges, and pushing away those who cared about him. His choices led him to homelessness, jail, and ultimately, rock bottom.
But rock bottom wasn’t the end—it was the turning point. The devastating loss of his sister forced him to confront the reality of his life. Even then, he spiraled further, numbing his pain with drugs, until he felt an undeniable pull toward a church. It was there that he prayed a desperate prayer for help. Soon after, Eddie turned himself in, facing his past and surrendering to a new path.

Wheeler Mission became a place of transformation. Through the loving guidance of case managers and the structure of the program, Eddie not only learned about God—he built a relationship with Him. He discovered what it meant to love others selflessly, to serve, and to be part of a brotherhood.
Now, Eddie is thriving, helping others who walk through the same doors he once did—lost, broken, and searching for hope. He knows firsthand that change isn’t instant, but with faith and support, it’s possible.
“I was lost before I came to the mission,” Eddie says. “Now, I’m found.”
Wheeler Mission didn’t just give Eddie a second chance—it gave him a new life. And through his story, others can find hope that they, too, can be found.
