and your days of mourning shall be ended.” (Isaiah 60:20)
We are deeply burdened and heavy hearted by the deep pain plaguing our nation. We grieve and fervently pray for restoration, reconciliation, and lasting change.
Wheeler Mission’s Men’s Residential Center and Administration Office were among several downtown Indianapolis buildings over the weekend that sustained damage including:
- Shattered windows
- Broken doors
- Bullet holes
- Graffiti
Thankfully, every guest was safe inside.
We need your help. Our insurance will cover repairs, but Wheeler is responsible for paying several deductibles. Please give to help us meet the cost of these repairs, knowing that any funds we raise over and above that cost will be used to continue caring for our most vulnerable neighbors during this troubled time.
While our buildings have been broken, our commitment to our community is not. Even with the unrest, turmoil, and uncertainty, Wheeler Mission remains dedicated to sheltering, protecting, and advocating for our neighbors in deepest need. Even as our hearts ache, we cling to hope.
