Help and healing for struggling neighbors
Since 1893, we’ve been here to help... thanks to caring individuals like you.
You make our enduring legacy of help, hope, and healing possible!
Through the years, many things about our ministry have changed. As the needs of our neighbors continue, your generous support has helped us renovate and expand our facilities. We’ve gone beyond our humble beginnings to now serve thousands of men, women, and children each year!
While our world—and even Wheeler Mission—are ever changing, one thing remains the same: Our commitment to model Christ’s love and provide the help, hope, and healing that change lives.

A simple act of sharing a skill can create meaningful connection. 🧶
Mary and a friend are volunteering their time to teach a beginner crochet class for women at Wheeler Mission. With supplies provided for 10 women, this class offers an opportunity to learn something new, create with their hands, and spend time in encouraging community.
Moments like these remind us that restoration often begins with connection, creativity, and people who care enough to show up. 💙
Thank you, Mary, for sharing your time and talents with the women we serve!

It’s cold. And while the weather shifts, our mission never does.
We are open every single day, welcoming neighbors inside to stay warm, stay safe, and stay supported. When temperatures drop, the need grows and our commitment grows with it.
Weather conditions may change, but our doors remain always open. Our team continues to serve men, women, and children across Central Indiana with shelter, meals, and critical resources every day of the year.
If you or someone you know needs a safe place to go, we are here.
You can meet real needs for our neighbors this month. ❤️
Our February most-needed items:
- Bibles
- New men`s, women`s, and children`s underwear
- Men`s, women`s, and children`s socks
- Men`s, women`s, and children`s sweatpants
- Men`s T-shirts
Every donation helps provide comfort, care, and hope to men, women, and children in our shelters. Thank you for loving our neighbors in such practical ways.
Wheeler Mission is door number one for hundreds of people in crisis each winter. ❄️
As temperatures drop, conditions become increasingly dangerous for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, leading to a surge in men, women, and children seeking shelter.. Overflow spaces open to provide warmth and safety, and outreach teams help transport those in need to shelter throughout the winter months.
