Join us this Thanksgiving in Broad Ripple for the 11th Annual Wheeler Mission Drumstick Dash presented by Huntington Bank! The event is hosted by the BlueMile and will benefit homeless men, women, and children in our community.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, walkers must start towards the back and please leave your pets at home.

Your registration will include a race shirt and access to the Drumstick Dash Virtual Race Bag, which includes offers and information from sponsors. The shirt will be mailed to you two weeks before Thanksgiving at the address you provide on the registration form.

Take your shirt with you and run where you are while supporting the homeless and needy Wheeler Mission serves.

Outta Town Dash Around registration does not include entry to the race. Limited to the first 500 registrants. Registration for the Outta Town Dash Around closes November 8, 2014.


Race Day Parking

Glendale Town Center - A free shuttle service will be available to and from Glendale Town Center. Please park in the large surface lot on the east side of the Town Center. There will be 10 shuttles running a continuous loop from the parking lot to the event site. The pre-race shuttle service will run from 7:00 a.m.-8:15 a.m. The post race shuttle service will run from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Sponsored by Tom Wood Auto Group.

Park Tudor High School – A free shuttle service will be available to and from Park Tudor High School. There will be 8 shuttles running a continuous loop from the parking lot to the event site. The pre-race shuttle service will run from 7:00 a.m.-8:15 a.m. The post race shuttle service will run from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.

Broad Ripple – Free parking is available in the area neighborhoods and behind Broad Ripple High School. This parking is limited.

* Be sure to arrive early enough to give yourself time to park and get to the start line.


Lil’ Gobbler’s RunDD2013_lil_gobblers

All kids ages 10 and under are invited to participate in the fun run chasing Gerry Gobbler (the six-foot-tall turkey) around the parking lot of Broad Ripple Station. Sponsored by MHS.

The event starts at 10:15 a.m. and all finishers will receive a cool medal.

There is no registration required.

An announcement will be made and those wishing to participate will report in front of the BlueMile store.


Awards

The top ten male and top ten female finishers in the 4.5 mile event will win a prize. There are no age group awards.

Interested in volunteering? Your help is much appreciated! Check back in October for volunteer opportunities.


Join in on the FUN!

Keep an eye out for special turkey hats along the course! Find one and wear it across the finish line and report to the Prize Tent for a prize!

Gerry Gobbler (the six-foot-tall turkey) will get a short head start. You’ll win a prize if you are the first male or female to catch him! He is one fast turkey!


Gear Check

Gear check will be available on race day in the main tent in the parking lot of Broad Ripple Station.


RefreshmentsDD2013_food_court

There will be one water station located between the 2 and 3 mile points on the 4.5 mile course. Sponsored by Summers Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling.

Many other food items and refreshments will be available just past the finish line.

 

 

 


Important Information

Please no pets or skates. Please be courteous to the Broad Ripple neighborhoods and residents. Both runners and walkers will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Please seed yourself based on your actual run/walk pace. If you are pushing a stroller, we ask that you begin toward the back. The 4.5 mile event is timed, the 2.8 mile event is not. If you participate in the 2.5 mile event with a timing tag, your results will NOT be processed.
