Wheeler 101

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
Isaiah 61:1

Wheeler 101 is a volunteer orientation that is geared toward those who are interested in our Christ-centered, High Impact Level 3 volunteer opportunities (hands-on interaction with guests). This session will not only familiarize you with Wheeler’s values & programs, but discuss topics such as factors leading to homelessness, trauma, poverty, addiction, and next steps to get involved.

NOTE: Wheeler 101 is not required for Meal Service, Thrift Store, and other Level 1 & 2 opportunities.  To see these opportunities, click here and select the appropriate Volunteer Page.

This session is hosted at our Administration Building downtown.

Please fill out the information below, select a date, and submit your registration.

We will send confirmation details (including location address, parking, etc.) upon receiving your form!

PLEASE NOTE: We are in the final stages of launching a brand new, interactive Volunteer website and database called IMPACT. Therefore, we have reduced our Wheeler 101 dates until that website is a “go”. We apologize for any inconvenience, but appreciate your understanding as we implement this dynamic resource that will maximize your ability to serve! Please consider serving a meal, working at our Thrift Store, or other individual or group opportunities as we ramp up this new site.
